The Project aims to reach out to fathers and father figures living and working within the London suburbs to give them guidance and recognition for their good fatherhood.

Strengthen the level of respect good young fathers are due within today's society and boost their recognition.

Reduce the crime rate of young offenders by empowering them with information about how imprisonment will affect their relationship with their child in the present and long term.

Targets young fathers living and working in inner-city London, who strive to provide the best for their children

Project will provide a chance for such fathers to communicate and learn from one another i.e. football matches, daddy and child days out and structured discussions.

It aims to disperse negative stereotypes i.e. “baby father” and “weekend dad. Create an occasion for recognition and empowerment. Reduce anti-social behavior within local communities and neighborhood
rivalry.

The Daddy Cool is a initiative to celebrate the many good fathers living and working in today’s society. To hear the term “young single mothers” and “absent fathers” are not terms that are strange to the general public’s ear. It is not often that we hear good news and the good work young fathers are doing for their children and the positive role they play in their child’s life.

Daddy Cool aims to highlight these aspects of fatherhood. The main focus are young fathers who strive to provide the best for their children and are bettering themselves the best they can. This project provides a chance for such fathers alike to communicate, socialise and learn from one another i.e. football matches, daddy and child days out, information points and structured discussions.

WHO CAN SUPPORT THE PROJECT?

* Anyone: who thinks it is a worthy idea, want to make a change and who wants better for the children of the future

* Companies: who are able to donate either their time, facilities, services, products, resources.

* Daddies: who are reputable of The Daddy Cool ethos by being part of the campaign and telling others about it

* Mummies: who think their child's dad lives up to his responsibilities

You don't have to be a father to support fatherhood

Hello Everyone,

I help out at youth clubs and and vollunteer with the NVYA. There is one issue that I still see happening in day to day life and thats BULLYING! I don't feel that there is enough support in place for victims who are bullied. I think there is more that can be done - I would like to set up a campaign to beat bullying once and for all. It took me a while to decide on a name for this campaign and I have decided on 'ENOUGH IS ENOUGH'. I feel that if the Government were to provide adequate support and make more resources available then we could sort this issue. I know that wherever we are in the future we will always have this sort of issue to deal with. But if we can only make sure we have adequate support groups and reach out to those who are not able to reach out to us. Then we can make a good start in stamping it out. Your comments would be greatly appreciated on this issue as I find it to be one thats still causing a lot of distress to people.

The aim of the project is to try and tackle issues that exist in communities, such as generation gaps and communities learning to cope with living in a multicultural society. The project is a one day event, which aims to bring the community together, there will be a range of activities on the day which include: a football tournament, community concert, educational section and lots of competitions and games.  Read less
