    I'm sorry if this seems ignorant of me but I was not aware that "faith" had been sent to a private sphere. It always seemed that faith was part of a large number of goings on.

    The only way I can think of faith having a part would be in its part in terms of charities and organisations set up in their name and what objectives those organisations would have.

    Traditionally in the UK 'faith' was a huge influence on public issues but in recent times 'faith' has become a personal and private issue with Alister Campbell publicly declaring about Tony Blair "We don't do God!"
