My project is all based around Body image and Eating disorders and how we can overcome these.

Overcoming eating disorders project 2011 is based on creating a calendar to give hope to those women and men who are suffering with ED's at this moment. The calendar will be with women and men who have overcome their eating disorders and much more comfortable with how they look now! Money raised will go towards charities such as 'b-eat' that help those recover.

Aswell as raising money it could also be called a campaign, as im fed up with seeing the same women in magazines and fashion catwalks. Why? we are all different, we all come in different shapes and sizes, so why is society saying that we all have to look like a runway model to be normal. Espically if the model does have a eating disorder themself, this isn't promoting a healthy body image for any and espically young teen girls.

If you've ever felt like you cant measure up to them, then your not the only one. These photos are airbrushed beauty. So i say lets get real men and women in their, all different shapes and sizes and celebrate who we are and what our bodys look like. Not a stereotypical photoshopped look, we all can't be perfect. Infact its our imperfections that make us different and who we are!

When we think about the words 'Eating disorders' we tend to shy away from it, espically if we know someone who may have it. Noone knows the right thing to say and do, but their is the right recovery out their. So instead of shying away, these people will be sharing their own stories wich will create a sense of hope for others.
